Executive Fellowship in Leadership & Professional Affairs

Executive Fellowship in Practice Advancement

Join our highly motivated and innovative team here at NCAP.  You could be our next Executive Fellow.
The NCAP Executive Fellowship program is designed to develop a healthcare professional prepared to assume high-level leadership in a pharmacy practice or professional association by providing exceptional training in key areas for organizational development and administration.
The Fellow will be immersed in association management, professional development, membership development, project management and implementation, practice advancement, quality improvement, and policy activities. The program will develop executive-level knowledge and skills in association leadership and management with an emphasis on professional affairs.  The experience will position the Fellow for leadership and management positions in pharmacy or other health-related associations, government and other career opportunities.

New for 2027! NCAP is seeking a pharmacist or recent pharmacy school graduate for an Executive Fellowship in Practice Advancement. This Fellow will work with our Practice Advancement staff on projects dedicated solely to community pharmacy-based opioid stewardship efforts across North Carolina.
The fellowship program is made possible by a multi-year grant designed to expand of the role of pharmacists across North Carolina in the prevention of overdose and infectious disease related to illicit drug use, as well as to facilitate access to treatment for patients with opioid use disorder (OUD).
This fellowship is ideal for a pharmacist who is highly self-motivated, has experience in community pharmacy, and has an interest in improving the lives of individuals with OUD. The two-year fellowship would begin in early July 2027.
