NC CAN - North Carolina Community Pharmacy Alert Network
The North Carolina Community Alert Network (NC CAN) Overview
NC CAN was developed by the North Carolina Association of Pharmacists (NCAP) to foster collaboration between community pharmacies and local public health departments for the purpose of boosting the health of our communities. This web page houses details, examples, and resources to help orient you to this new communication system. You can use the buttons on the left to navigate through the different tabs with information and learn more about how to interact with this network.
Announcements
NCAP is recruiting North Carolina pharmacies to participate in a statewide REMS certification initiative for long-acting injectable buprenorphine (LAI-B) from May–September 2026.
With pharmacists now authorized to administer LAIs, pharmacies can help expand access to treatment for Opioid Use Disorder and support recovery in their communities.
